DONATIONS

Are donations to ReachOut Australia tax-deductible?

If your donation is made in Australia and is over $2, then it is tax-deductible. When you donate, you’ll receive an email containing a receipt as proof of your donation to us.

How do I find one of my friends if I want to donate to them?

You can find friends who are already signed up by entering their name in the search bar in the top right-hand corner of the page. You can then make a donation to their page.

Alternatively, click on the 'Donate' button, search for your friend and then click on their page to make a donation.

Should I donate to the individual or their team?

When you donate to an individual, the donation will also count towards their team, and will show up on both their individual profile and their team profile. Donating to an individual will also help them earn rewards and recognition for their hard work! However, you are more than welcome to donate directly to a team if you wish to do so.

If you have any further questions, or need to make a change to your donation, please contact Sophie at sophie@run4life.com.au

Where does my donation go?

All online donations by credit card go directly to ReachOut Australia using the Stripe Payment Gateway. Stripe processes online credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the internet. For more information about the Stripe Payment Gateway, please visit here.
ReachOut keeps our internal costs down by employing a small team of staff. Run4Life is delivered by an internal team, saving on the cost of paying an external agency.
Eighty-five per cent of funds raised from Run4Life go directly to the ReachOut services that support young people and their parents. Funds are distributed to the areas of our services that are most in need. ReachOut is continually evolving and adapting to ensure we meet the needs of young people with mental health difficulties.
The remaining fifteen percent of funds raised goes towards keeping ReachOut running. This includes staffing costs, and essential things like keeping the lights on, operating our servers and paying the rent on our office space.
ReachOut has a policy of financial transparency and is externally audited every year. Please feel free to check out a breakdown of our income and expenditures here.
